47 year old female was the driver of a vehicle when a second vehicle ran a stop sign driving into
the path of the plaintiff’s vehicle. Upon impact, the plaintiff’s vehicle left the roadway and came
to a stop in a water filled culvert. Plaintiff suffered herniated discs requiring cervical
discectomy, arthroscopic shoulder surgery for left shoulder impingement syndrome and
permanent implantation of a spinal cord stimulator for RSD. - $1 ,400,000.00 Medical Negligence
Hospital staff improperly administered two doses of Vistaril via IV port to female plaintiff age
42, causing vein necrosis, reflex sympathetic dystrophy affecting her arms and chronic pain

Cerebral Mandibular Syndrome at the time of birth, which is a genetic condition which results in
mandibular malformation and other deformities, and had been hospitalized and on mechanical

Female plaintiff admitted to hospital for induction of labor due to being post due date and was
induced using Cytotec and Petocin. Despite being admitted, physician, who left on vacation
prior to delivery, failed to complete a biophysical profile and document risk factors associated
with delivery. Three days after induction, Petocin was restarted and artivical rupture of
membranes performed. Fetal monitoring strips showed abnormalities from onset and throughout
state one and two of labor. Fetus was in severe fetal distress at time of delivery and nearly
stillborn and subsequently died 2 days after delivery. - $700,000.00 Medical Negligence
70 year old male presented for Nissen fundoplication procedure. The balloon dilator was
retracted while the balloon was still inflated, causing a tear in the distal esophagus. Plaintiff
suffered from post-operative complications, including dysphagia, which is permanent in nature. - $700,000.00 Medical Negligence
Female plaintiff, age 43, underwent open reduction and internal fixation performed by defendant
physician for a fractured ankle. Following surgery, plaintiff experienced continued pain which
was found to be a broken screw in her ankle. Another surgery was performed, during which an
intra operative culture was taken. The culture was returned after 72 hours showing slow growth
of a staph epidermis infection. Plaintiff s ankle was still not healed following the second surgery
and defendant recommended a third procedure. Another culture was taken during the surgery
and revealed the staph infection was still present. Defendant testified he had never seen either
report. Plaintiff sought treatment from another physician who attempted a fusion, but the
procedure failed due to plaintiff s ongoing infection. Plaintiff suffered from CRPS also known as RSD. - $504,000.00 Nursing Home Negligence
93 year old female nursing home patient suffered multiple bruises to her face, arm, back and
wrist while living at a nursing home. She was later allegedly raped at the facility as well.
Plaintiff charged that the nursing home ignored signs of a possible threat to plaintiff and that the
home’s administration failed to timely respond to news of the assault and failed to timely notify
the police. Settled for the nursing home’s policy limits. - $440,000.00 Medical Negligence
Defendant hospital recommended tracheotomy and tonsillectomy when not surgically indicated
immediately after 31 year old male suffered facial trauma, failed to secure the trach tube and
monitor plaintiff post-surgically, allowing plaintiff to remove trach tube and failed to timely
contact a physician, causing plaintiffs death. Paid by self-insured hospital. - $360,000.00 Personal Injury
33 year old female employed by a convenience store was walking by a cooler, when a worker for
a beverage distributor pushed open the door to exit the cooler and hit the plaintiff in the head
behind the ear, which rendered her unconscious. She suffered a closed head injury, depression,
memory loss, cervical strain, left elbow contusion, migraine headaches myofascial pain and
fibromyalgia. The settlement was paid by the beverage distributor. - $358,670.00 Personal Injury
Defendant driver under the influence of alcohol and drugs crossed into oncoming lane while
passing a vehicle and struck plaintiffs motorcycle head on, causing his death. Defendant’s
